The Concept and Design Stage

Whether working with a corporation, community or family foundation, nonprofit organization or individual, we understand how personal and often, emotional, the process of concept and design can be for a specific piece of art . . . the one you see in your mind.

  • When I accept a commission, I make a commitment to work closely with you and/or the members of your team to get a clear interpretation of your vision on paper, so we  will both have a better idea of what the finished piece will look like.

  • We will provide a breakdown of options and costs to create the piece in different  media (such as bronze, resin or Winterstone for sculpture)  and will provide a realistic timeline for completing the project.

  • Complete site design can be included in the proposal, if requested.

  • Once a design, timeframe and cost have been determined, we will both sign a commission agreement and work can begin.

  • During the creation process, you will receive regular updates, via email or video, so you can follow the progress of the artwork.

Other Services

Fortunately for me, I'm married to a PR/Marketing consultant.  Dusti  has worked for years with nonprofit groups, individual artists and community foundations helping them with press coverage, marketing collateral, websites and fund raising.

We often work together on major projects to provide our clients with a more complete set of services, from the initial planning to fund raising to dedication events.

Click here to visit her website and learn more about her services.

If your group or organization needs help with these services,  those costs can be included in the proposal.

**Under special circumstances, we set up a temporary studio near the installation site to finish a sculpture.  This allows you and your team to follow the progression of the project and allows us a more hands-on approach with the final site preparation and installation.
