I was honored to provide two life size bronzes, Homage to a Patriot and Tears for the Fallen, for the Memorial Lane Park in Granbury, Texas.  Memorial Lane Park is a beautiful and unique park honoring military, law enforcement, first responders and firefighters. Homage to a Compatriot expands that vision by honoring the incredible bond and unconditional loyalty of our canine soldiers.

Tears for the Fallen  remembers the families of law enforcement officers and firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice to keep us safe.

POOL OF TEARS ALL VETERAN MEMORIAL
Temple, Texas

Pool of Tears

Pool of Tears was installed in 2003 and was one of my proudest moments.  Working with a limited budget, the sculture was created with a medium called Winterstone, which means both the little boy and the soldier were one of a kind pieces.  No molds were made so no additional pieces could be cast.

My eldest grandson, who was nine at the time, was my model for the little boy.  The soldier is a composite of several men I served with.  As a Vietnam combat veteran, spending ten and twleve hours a day sculpting this memorial had it's challenges, but it also had healing moments.

If you're ever in the Temple area, swing downtown and visit the memorial site.  I hope it means as much to those who visit as creating it did to me.

SALUTE TO A HERO

SALUTE TO A HERO

Over the years, we've had multiple requests to request the little boy from the Pool of Tears installation.  There was no mold preserved for that piece, so in 2012, I created SALUTE TO A HERO, for public installations at the public library in Fort Myers Beach, Florida and the Veterans Memorial Plaza in Schertz, Texas.

Roy Benivadez

DUTY, HONOR AND COUNTRY

Msg. Roy Benivadez, Congressional Medal of Honor Recepient

Memorial Park, Cuero, Texas

Roy Benavidez spent a lifetime serving his country, though he never considered himself a hero, even after President Reagan placed the Congressional Medal of Honor around his neck.  He was, as anyone who has ever read his story would know, an extraordinary and couragous man, a true patriot. Being commissioned for this project recognizing one of America's finest was an honor beyond measure.

Never Alone II, Bas Relief

ProLogic, Inc.

Belle Vernon, PA

I had the distinct honor of creating two bas relief sculpture pieces for ProLogic, Inc., a company that specializes in secure field to control room communication technology for the US Department of Defence.   The bar relief approach allowed me to include a larger part of their scope of services in one piece.
