I got a call one afternoon, back in 1978 or 79, can't rightly remember exactly, from the company in Houston that was printing the phone book for Bellaire, Texas.  One of their people had attended an art show and had seen this painting there.  They wanted to use it on the cover of the new phone book. The gig paid zero dollars but they did say they would give me credit for it.  Dusti and I talked it over and decided it would be worth the "exposure" but we didn't expect a lot of feedback from a phone book cover.  Boy, were we wrong.  We sold more prints from that phone book cover than we had in several art shows, so it was ultimately, a very good business decision.  It's one of the images that got me started in art, so it will stay around my store as long as I do.
